How to Steal a Dog is a very good book. The author is Barbra O’Connor. This book is realistic fiction. The authors’ purpose is to entertain.

    The settings of this book are in their car, the old house, and outside looking for reward sighns. The characters in this book are Georgina, Toby, Momma, Luanne, Liza, Carmella, Mookie, and Willy. Willy is the dog they steal. Georgina and Toby are the boy and girl who steal Willy. Luanne and Liza are Georgina’s old friends. Momma is Georgina and Toby’s mom. Mookie is a guy who lives outside. He lives with Willy for a little while then leaves.

    Georgina is desperate. Her parents got divorced and Toby, Momma, and her got kicked out of their apartment. They have to live in a car. Her mom works two jobs. When Georgina sees a missing dog sighn with a reward of five hundred dollars she decides she needs to steal a dog.

    I think this was a great book. I would highly recommend this book. On a scale of one to ten I think this book is an eight. J
